This would be where Zante's method comes into it, so if you only plap 2 games out of 4, but win 15-0 each time, it wont be as good as someone who has played all 4 times, and won 10-5 each time...
Is that right Zante?
Yeah, first player would be valued at £10 million (scoring 30) and second would be valued at £13.2 million (scoring 40).
I think the golden cue is the best thing to do, because we want quantifiable data to be used since the scoring will be the same.
For example, if one player won 2 out of 4 games 15-0 against the top players (not playing in the other 2) you could consider them better than a player who scored 8-7 8-7 7-8 7-8 over the 4 games because the 30 points they've scored are "better". But in the grand scheme of things both players have scored identical points so giving them two different values is illogical because overall they are even.
Golden cue doesnt show the rankings fair either.
Some players will only play the big games against good players and drop out of games v lesser clans.
Does that make sense sensai!!!

Would you feel better having £ changes to Goats?
you'd be currently valued at 10.1 million goats
I dont want to have a price tag....

Exactly, just because a lower ranked player beat a top player, the points would be the same, but maybe some bonus points for it?
I don't know how bonus points could be implemented fairly..

17:54 Mon 12 Jan 15 (GMT) [Link] so the more points you earn , the better you are on value?
I would use something like this: 10 x (frames won / frames played) x (matches played / half total matches)
using the players given above -
dvz - £10.9 million (41 points)
corsair - £9.6 million (36 points)
iam_me - £10.6 million (40 points)
raker - £10.6 million (40 points)
So a pretty terrible example of players to use at this point in time
Chucking some other players in who aren't currently scoring around the same:
punkpoet - £2.9 million (11 points)
kingdadcool - £4 million (15 points)
thegreatone7 - £3.2 million (12 points)
sillybilly - £5.9 (22 points)
This way, teams in theory should all have scored virtually the same in the previous season. So no advantage can be gained before the competition begins.

I think the only thing could be Man of the Match awards like in Prem FF. 3 points bonus awarded to the best result of each match, 2 for the second best and 1 for the third best.
Doesn't have to be the highest scoring match. For example, in the first set the best result of Pros vs Uprising has to be wonkyshaft 13-2 w_hoolahan. But in the Uprising vs Revolution I would give it to erigert 10-5 jampot despite there being higher scores, because jampot has a 60% frame win ratio including that defeat and the two higher scores came against players with frame win ratio's below 30%.

Yeah, it's a more objective way of having things and it's a lot harder to argue against people's values

Thats fair enough then we can use that, ill do the list sometime tonight so that a first draft of player values is sorted ASAP.
Now for scoring system? 1 point for an 8-7, 2 points for a 9-6, 3 points for a 10-5 and onwards?

What about events ? You could add events or 7 balling?

I dont want there to be too many bonus points involved, maybe 1 point for getting 3 runouts across a match?

I would've thought it easiest for it to be however many frames they win is the points they score. Otherwise a player who loses 7-8 gets awarded the same as one who loses 0-15, and players who lose game in FF still score points.
I think you could add events, but they aren't always reported in the FCL and aren't recorded on the site so it would be hard to keep track of unless you used the SL games instead of FCL.

I think you would have to trust members on that one, ask them to post events and if they fail then its their own fault or you could leave them out if it would make it unbalanced

Doing up a list of who is ranked better than who will be too hard to do.
Use all know the good players beat each other all the time/swings and roundabouts an all that,
To say (he is better than he) is just an opinion.
Fair dues if this goes ahead, seems like alot of work to me but il sit back and watch for the time being!

also I don't think that would make the value of players fair, as you could have for example myself play in each FCL match against easy opponents and win each game by quite a bit say 11-4 or something like that each match played meaning i'd be worth according to your valuing system xD a lot of money
then you could have someone as good as dave play like 4 FCL matches overall and then he would be cheaper than some of the less good players .....

But to your team he wouldn't be anywhere near as valuable as someone who might not be as good but scores higher. Sturridge is one of the best strikers in the prem, but his FF value will have gone down with him being out injured and not scoring. Whereas Austin isn't the best in the prem, but his FF value would have gone up since he tops the scoring for strikers now above Costa and Aguero
