Just finished playing marblewood

8us, I was not potting well, a couple of hours off the site and my eye had not got in, he took the first 3 frames very quickly, playing some superb snookers which left me no hope of getting out of. Then it slightly changed with a change of break from me, I tapped the break, which seemed to rile him, I did not know he was not a fan of tappy breaks. This seemed to distract him and I eventually won the 4th. Then a big slice of bad luck for him when he potted the 8 very early in the 5th.

9us, I knew I had to do something to get back into this, so I went for everything, we both got a bit of luck at different times and going 2-2 into the final frame, with the 3 tied up, the 2 was in the open, played a snooker off it, but the 2 rolled on top of the 9, leaving a perfect set plant 2-9, white off the cushion. A blind man would have potted that, so there was my slice of bad luck.

3-2 Mike

8uk, I just tried potting everything here, knew that I would have to win, but cannons and a couple of other bad shots let him go 2-1 up, when he got to this stage, he made key errors in the final 2 frames to gift me them.

3-2 Chappy

Overall, very high standard of games, I don't know how I still had a chance of winning this going into 8uk. If my potting was better in 8us, I might have stood a chance, but I will take an 8-7 loss against a great player.
