I played well in the end, he played a few really nice shots. I pulled off two "class" finishes. I gave 3/4 frames away really, but he did well in taking those opportunities.

8us was very tight. Trats played with great positional shots... taking on the clear from positions where i didn't think it possible (on three occasions). V.wp but either his potting skills are not that good or the pressure got him because he kept leaving me on with missed pots. 3-2 to me.

9us started on a very sour note. I cracked the pack and he intentionally fouled to put the 6-ball tight against the 9 which was near a pocket. I tried to give him what he deserved and run him out with 3 consecutive fouls but no joy. The rest of the games were similarly played... safety over potting (playing to his strengths, i suppose). 4-1 to me. Oh, and I was extremely lucky with pots going in that i wasn't aiming for including a 9 ball. But i didn't really care because of his mindumbling play.

8uk continued with more of the same... safety over potting. Even tapping against balls when it was easy to clear.. I only needed 1 frame to secure the tie so didn't care at all. Was very unlucky to pot the white in the first and he took the game. The rest is a bit of a blur because was expecting a visitor to call to the door and just wanted out. Plus he kept tapping even though the tie was over. 4-1 to me.

10-5 to me overall

good result mate , take it as a compliment when they tap & stuff I know I do when people do it to me
