Wohooooooo, got my 200th 8uk 7balling

For our next FBL set, for every sub or swap made that seems unnecessary, we will make 2. We have changed our mind about the teamlist we sent in, but we'll wait to see who our opponents are first so we can sub/swap to our advantage. One of our opponents have already posted they're doing the same, so it's only fair we outline our intentions too.

Good to see we are going into battle well prepared for the almost inevitable trouble. It's everything we have a fixture against these Unbeatables

I hope this post looks as good as other posts on other threads.

I think Horse's idea was good few seasons ago where Away team would send their teamlist to the Home team and Home player would match up the games.

but have a rule where subs can't be done within first 3 days so games have a chance to be played.

I think then the subs thing may be solved

I've not heard that before, but I think that's a great idea! I for one will campaign to have it trialled in one of the comps next season. Take a bow Keith!

Im afraid most variations of the sub rule are unenforcable.

What stops the 'away' team manufacturing the need for a swap or sub once the games are released? If they arent allowed to sub or swap at all then they are subject to defaults if any of their named players goes unexpectedly absent.

As said to Stu earlier there are only three realistic sub rule options...

1) None
2) A fixed limit per side, eg 2, but unrestricted regarding who, when or why.
3) Unlimited and unrestricted as per now.

In theory works well, but if implemented it wont have success. Some captains here find different reasons to sub their players out, so a 3 day restriction rule wont have any effect.
