It's no disaster mate, after an awful start to come away with only a 3 point deficit is acceptable. We won't bring back irish_ninja or angry_bacon just yet!!!

Retrospective match report.

8UK 4 - 1 (run-out for both)

In the first few frames he seemed to take liberties by leaving me easy clearances (something which I'm not used to but is much obliged). After going 3 nil up he pulled himself together and started to play a little more conservatively. He missed an absolute dolly of a ball in the final US frame to gift it to me.

The 9 ball I was on fire. I was rather fortunate when one of my breaks left me a 2-9 plant with the 9 over the pocket but I also took out 2 decent clearances off of his break. One frame I snookered him and then cleared and then in the other he missed a simple clearance off of his break to gift me the frame.

I was 9 - 1 up going into the 8UK so decided to try and go for a huge scoreline so tightened up a lot. The first three frames consisted of me rolling up to balls, snookering or just letting him try to take out difficult clearances. He was a bit gung ho and let me in with two visits in these by fouling from my snookers. Fair play to him in the fourth as his run-out was pretty decent. He struggled for position for the final 3 balls but pulled out 3 fantastic pots. I took out a simple run-out in the last.

Felt I played really well here and didn't really give him a chance. At best he could have had two more frames. Nonetheless, cheers for the frames!

(Oh and up the Uprising!)

Nice easy game for me to start with eh..
Better get some practice in as I haven't played since end of last season..
