Bad games from both. very few missed pots. But positional play was lacking. The run of the balls screwed us both over numerous times.

A bit disappointed as apart from the two run-outs I was very sloppy. Missed two sitters of run-outs in the 9 ball so could have been a big one but couldn't capitalise on my chances.

That being said Matty cleared everytime he got to the table and based on the actual match a draw was probably fair.

I'll take it, in a bit of form and I want to play the top players.


Two tight results for Uprising, don't beat yourself up about a 7-5 loss. It's not really anything in terms of an SL match. The big danger is a hiding and you avoided that so there's no harm done and it could turn out to be a good result.

8us - (2) vs (2) Heavily error strewn games.. Been didn't seem him normal self and I wasn't playing like I could.. Lead to some weird and wacky frames! The final one i managed to pull out a seven balling from his dry break though! And in truth been should've had a run-out earlier too..

9us - (2) vs (2) I should've had a run-out in the first but inexplicably missed an easy double to the middle pocket after some heavy flukes early in the frame.. Apart from that the games ran normal with a bit of luck and bad luck for both and then in the final frame I 3 fouled him to clinch the draw!

8uk - (1) vs (4) It's been the case lately that I tend to show up during these frames and I did running-out in the first albeit with a slice of luck on positioning when I left myself snookered off a cannon.. He was v ul in these frames as he could and should've ran out in the second but under-hit his ball which left it more or less wide open for me! I took the third and been was on a run-out in the last when he got a cannon and double potted his own balls to more or less leave him with a tough positional shot to finish the run-out and instead opted to play safe and came out on top in that one!

Glad of the draw in the end, but gutted to not win. The usual arrogance shone through the games but I just laughed it off.

Tbh, I was a bit disappointed because I didn't have to play above myself to take the lead. She went for clearances and just didn't look like finishing anything early, mine was solid but I missed some sitters to bring her back in it. 3-0 up, 4-2 up and then 3 frames of missed chances I should've had to bring it to 4-5 before I returned the favour of a 7 balling to get the draw.

Regardless of my intentions of position, someone who will wish their opponent good luck but then break the silence to "LMAO" or tell me "i'm so lucky on those middle pockets" is a bit of a hypocrite really. Particularly when I'd done them no wrong, nor given the chance to even address the shot.

All in all, i've played far better. Put myself in because I wanted a tough challenge and fell far short. I'll sub in against someone better next time.

I've had an awful season, one of my worst (at least 20% worse in each competition) yet you couldn't beat me, a weaker opponent who only gets to the semi's of the individual competitions versus the mighty level of round 3. I'm not bothered by such fickle things, but there's the other side of what you're trying to say, ouch.

Exactly why I refuse to play in the same team as him.

It would be nice if she could take a look at the other Pro's who are all sporting and take any result with humility and modesty.

Nevertheless nice result Zante, keeps our nice lead intact.
