Anyone any idea when the present Java problems will be resolved?

go to

Control Panel >>> Java >>> Security
change the security to medium.

i uninstalled it and cant reinstall it i hate updates lol

make sure u close the browser while u install it

Ahh this happened to me, do a check on the java site to see if you have any existing versions of java still on your comp.
If so use microsoft fix it to try and remove it.
If you still can not remove it, it means its hidden (like mine was)
Then you need someone smarter than me. I know askingfan is knowledgeable on java,sure he will help :)
