Brilliant spirit, disjointed first half but great second half. Think overall we deserved it but it wasn't to be. Can't remember the last time I saw a red that continental and bad. Penalising strong good tackles, letting them get away with as many niggly fouls as they like and it seemed to be one rule for thn and another for us.
Basel played well first half but without the controversial red I don't think they were really in the second half. They just preyed on the numbers advantage and didn't have much of a response other than to try and get our players in trouble while fouling a lot. Tired legs told at the end, overall it wasn't good enough in the group stage but we still can get a decent European run.
You might struggle to see many more entertaining final 15 minutes this season (or at least we will ).

I have a 1-1 or 2-2 for that match - probably a very feisty encounter with a red card a piece, Tiote and Cattermole (he hasn't been sent off for a while, Sky sports pundits have probably just jinxed him )

Let us Nail Arsenal first, then Spurs, then we will deal with our small time neighbours who like living in our shadow and always in the past.

Big game for city tonight. I predict a draw which should be enough for them

Must win game aint it due to GD?
Premier League has been getting more and more erratic since the arrival of City into the big leagues, more teams getting more money and more of a challenge. Sure, you can't peg West Ham or Southampton to lock up a Champs league spot, but it's good to see more competition for the elusive 4th spot, something which IMO Everton deserved last season.
With the current season, you can't really look past Chelsea/City for the league. United, despite a boost in form recently haven't actually been performing well, summed up by the dismal performance against Southampton, the least shots on target since 2009 or something?! Liverpool are really hurting from the loss of Suarez in a similar way Spurs are still hurting from the loss of Bale.
Overall though, it's been a fantastic start to the season and based on current performances this is how I envisage the top 7 after 38 games.
1st: Chelsea
2nd: Man City
3rd: Manchester United/Arsenal
4th: Manchester United/Arsenal
5th: Liverpool (Question all you like, Sturridge return is big)
6th: Southampton
7th: Newcastle

City can progress with a score draw if cska lose (which seems the likely thing), 0-0 and they go out and Roma go through. City need to score to progress.

another big day is up on us
Sunderland v West Ham
we really need to win this game and start moving away from the bottom clubs
if we could've turned a few draws into wins we would be in very good shape won
only loosing 4 Premier games all season would be great if we won more, 9 draws I think it is now
2-1 win Sunderland
