7 balling isn't an event, there's far to many that's probs why they don't count, they never have done. I think a 7 balling easily deserves a bonus point more than a GB tho

absolutely, where's the achievement in knowing spanking the pack in specifically one spot will fire it in, it isn't skill anymore, it's just fact now.... whereas you have to be skilled to figure out exactly which is the correct shots to do and when, and that's worth nothing? Ridiculous if you ask me.... sorry

I agree but gbs and runouts pop up so you can easily prove you did it. Where as 7 balling don't
So I'm sure some players would lie to get points lol

Results don't lie tho m8

8 Ball Pool UK Friendly - zantetsukenz (1) loses to jasonb (1) with 7 balls remaining

I agree Jason, but some people seem to think getting GB's 1 in every 50 breaks requires skill lol, nothing but pure luck imo. 1 in every 5 I might agree.

sometimes it is skill though, once i made about 3-5 in about 30 minutes in practice by watching Youtube and experimenting (experimenting is what i do best) until i find a suitable breakoff

poolbiird i see gets the majority of her Golden Breaks, while i believe some element is luck, some is skill too although not as skilled as a runout or very difficult seven balling.

in Super League i like to try for Golden Breaks (except 8US as i lost the place when Arc came out) and if i pot then i have a Runout chance

In my opinion they require no skill whatsoever, the worst player on the site can learn any break off. I think on average It's 1 in every 50 games, how anyone can say that requires skill is beyond me. It's not hard to watch someone's break and do it yourself, there's no skill to that at all.

In 9 Ball a GB is a Run Out. It is what you are primarily trying to achieve when you break off, with pocketing any ball off the break as a secondary reward.

Granted in UK and US8, the GB is not a legitimate shot. However it is an achievement that any player on here can hope to achieve, regardless of ability, and even when playing the best of the best where any rack win at all would otherwise be unlikely.

At least a run out does require some skill but also can be very lucky as well, especially in 9us

I for 1 never hope to achieve GB's. It's not a nice way to win a game and I always apologise on the rare occasions I get one as I feel bad winning a game that way, but obviously everyone is different.

I am exactly the same, ok I understand both sides of the argument, like in the past you work hard just to even get to the final of a tournament, you wait ages for your opponent, they arrive late.... BANG, game over and just leaves...... its daft.

FCL v Phoenix

Onevisit v Dv8

8 Ball US 3 - 2 Onevisit
9 Ball US 4 - 1 Dv8
8 Ball UK 3 - 2 Onevisit

Overall 8 - 7 Dv8

Good games bud pleasure to play. Not missed as many shots for a while. Was unlucky in some and Dv8 was unlucky in some. Not our finest games this season of that I am sure. Best of luck to him for the season.
