you know fran, I don't see why we can't play it anyway and see what runners say. huts is probably 'well up' on the ins and outs of the rules, but I would imagine that this rule is in place for players who have a tantrum and don't continue, to ensure the same guys DO finish it.

I've asked him to play and see what happens and he refused. if the runners know what happened then I don't think it would be a problem. At least I'm willing to try, AND against 'him', or anyone else who would be prepared to do it that's available now. no harm in tryin in my eyes

yeah gaz, if ye both agree to start from scratch there should be no problem, i think, but you still need huts to actually want to get it played.

7.5 Substitutions in partially played games
Once a game has started between two players no substitution may normally be made. The exceptions are 1) where a player has been banned, has deactivated or has been removed from a clan - in the event of a player getting banned/deactivating or being removed then the game may be continued with a substitution from the clan whose player left; and 2) where all parties (the players and the clans directly involved) agree to a substitution being made, and also agree to whether the score continues from the point the previous one was suspended or whether it starts anew from 0-0. Any agreements from both sides must be recorded in a verifiable format for the avoidance of any later dispute.
