in 8us, I began going 3-0 down, where I felt I should of had one, where I had a tight shot and it missed when sure to be going in maybe, but he had 1 were played ideal and another were played but was fortunate a bit. Then 4th frame was full of tactical play, but I came out on top to take it. Then 5th frame I managed to, but both frames I won had tough long routes, tough shots and potting needed to be good, and it was. Then 9us, was fairly even, with me doing clearing well when needed. But it got to 2-2 and I somehow missed the 9 ball, was a sitter, should of been 3-2 me 9us for sure. Then 8uk he got the first somehow clearing well. Then I hit 2 back, playing very carefully and well, clearing always too, having snookered him at times. Then he got the 4th one after it came down to a tough ish finish but I could of maybe got, but was tight. Then final frame was a tight call but he got it. so it was 2-3 in all types, it was very tight, I felt I had to go on a tough long route a lot when I cleared at times though and he was surprised how I managed, as was I. But overall should of been 7-8/8-7 maybe more had I not made a mistake or two. ggs wp, was tight as expected.

He started off on fire, ran the rack and I just about managed to keep pace with him. Took my chance when he started making mistakes and got a little lead going but a mixture of a few more mistake from me and the gap closed up at 5-5. Then I took a good 2-9 to take the lead and after everything I rattled the 9 ball to miss out on 7-5. Great player though, brought out the best in me because I needed it or he'd have beaten me. Gutted to miss out on the win, but I had a big fluke in the last frame so a win would've left a bit of a sour note on a good match but full of mistakes.

Great match to watch for the neutral, frustrating for the players at times as both played high quality stuff so if u made a mistake it was a big 1 that cost u the frame, plus we both got ul at times which evened out over the course of the match.

i carried 7 - 3 coming into 8uk and was looking forward to it, only he was frustrated after 9us so came out aggresive and just nailed it with 2 decent clearances without me actually having a proper shot, next 1 should of been mine but i underhit a shot by a mm something that been done in 9 ball, then he ran the rack next frame and didn't stop there i broke dry and he nearly cleared again but fouled 1 of my yellows, so i stole it in the end.

Actually i played quite well, 8UK he is v good but of 3 frames he won - i fouled, the other i was clearing and got a bad bounce. 9US I was 2-0 up, then left him an easy 2-9, then potted the wrong ball when he fouled. 8US I was 3-1 up, he messed a double when clearing leaving me 2 over the pocket and the 8. I under hit the first & fouled. RRR lol.
But he did play well as always, 8-7 either way would have been fairer but hey ho.

Don't feel disheartened mate.. You played a cracking game, some of the potting you were making and the breakthroughs were out of this world! Always classed you as an amazing player throughout the killer we've played. And i agree.. Would have been tighter on another day. And today it could possibly have finished 8-7 either way..
