Well well well, not your usual bog standard post but I like your idea with the yin yang lol.

That is what I have suggested to Pix in a PM.

Just finished playing flapjack, what a nice guy he is! very friendly and lots of fun.

Anyways, down to the games,

Played 8uk first, quickly went 2-0 up, then lost a very scrappy 3rd, gave away about 5/6 fouls in the 4th trying to get perfect positioning and ended up losing it. Then came back with a good clearance for 3-2 to me.

9us next, and I must say, I had some rotten luck in that, I came to the table snookered, doubled the white, potted the 6, and the white sneaked into the middle pocket, which all other colours over pockets. Same (ish) happened in another frame, but the balls were harder to clear. With the luck I was having, I am glad to have got a 3-2 win there!

Next was the 8us which I am not confident with at the moment, lost the first frame, which gave me a few nerves. Then found a bit of composure, covered pockets, and never looked back from that, won the 4 remaining frames to win the 8us 4-1.

Overall, 10-5 to me.

I was a little bit gutted not to win by more, but then that would have been an injustice to jack, who played really well. Despite his rankings, he is a very capable player. Just needs a bit of work on his positional play, but if i left any pot on, he was more than capable of potting!!

I think 10-5 was probably fair, I messed up an positional shot for a runout in the 8uk, but ah well. I enjoyed them, and feel confident again!

The last statement is what matters mate, good to hear. Rankings prove nothing nowadays, anyone is capable of beating each other, some less than others due to that extra skill and knowledge but on the whole best to treat all opponents the same. Never underestimate anyone and don't overestimate ourselves, best way.
