Is there any way a 'thread flag system' could be introduced? Would save players from having to trudge through irrelevant nonsense and could just click on a particular colour fag to get to the page they are looking for.

All results would have a Red Flag next to them, just on the side of the post, so you just click on the flag itself and it goes to that page.

I would have:

Red = Results
Green = Live Fixture
Orange = Sub Request
Blue = Message from Captain/Vices
Purple = Admin/MOD's

Just thinking it would make threads a lot more easier to find information and also bring the threads more up-to-date. (Just a thought)

I really like this idea, I think it would help locating the key information in a thread, while keeping all the chatters happy also!

I thought about something like this before, having the current fixture on the left/right hand side of a clan's thread constantly (no matter what page you were on) so you don't have to go looking for them.

Then I realised it probably can't be done so didn't bother mentioning it lol

It would be great to hear some feedback about this, as this seems like an idea which would be very beneficial to league and forums in general.

Would the person posting have to choose which flag it was, or would it be a free-for-all once posted onto the thread?

The initial flag will be selected by the posts originator and will remain by the side of the post until they decide to change it to Completed.

It would act similar to a system I used when I worked for Npower and Phones4u in their complaints depts, we used a 'pending system'.

Just an idea, would also assist captains, vices and League Runners assess the status of fixtures etc.

Or atm when a new post has been made it flashes bright yellow, maybe some posts can remain the same constant colour subject to their status?

if its a problem yolur clan experiences then simply create 2 threads for ur clan

1 for, results, fixtures and subs

2, other for general news, banter, tourney wins etc...

I was thinking more about Sticky Posts and Messages, Sticky Posts stay at top of every page so the clan captains could sticky the up to date fixtures.

Also if you can edit that post at anytime (like freeforums.org) it saves extra unneeded posts which could be classed as spamming.

Sticky messages wouldn't delete after 6 months and you can keep them without fear of it being deleted. At the moment to save it being deleted you would have to put it on your machine or an alternative method.

I know i have had screenshots of breakoffs on snooker, 9th ace in golf etc deleted by the 6 month thing.

Maybe an idea would be a exclamation mark for Admin Attention? then it alerts the staff online in a message to the post so they can deal with it.

One thread would be instantly deleted/capped to avoid messy forums.

A second thread would not be a good idea, i were speaking in general for all teams, i dont have any probs just thought would be kool to bring the threads into the 21st Century.

I think the use of an '!' may be a good Idea, normally that implies a warning (ish) or a shout. I don't think the threads would look too brilliant with a lot of '!' s on tbh, maybe the Initial 'mod' with a Red Flag (Warning sign) might be more benficial?

possibly but if you look here it has ! above each post, you can edit at anytime, plus you can use different text colours using code. Its a free site too so wonder if nick can do these?

Yeah mate, looks good, we are on the same wavelength. I personally think the colour choice could have been better, but each to their own lol.

I just think the threads will be sooo much better and easier to decipher information quickly if a flag system or colour coding system were introduced.
