Hopeless at the game but will give me a reason to play and hopefully improve ..add me up.

So i was thinking about the format guys, which was originally going to be each player plays each other twice, with one frame per fixture. This then became each player plays each other twice, with 2 frames per fixture. But then i thought, well, its highly likely we will reach 20 players, and 38 fixture sets is a looong old season, so i propose this , lemme know what you guys think:
Each player plays each other only once, with 2 frames, But you can gain points from EACH frame like so:-

i_lost_again vs punkpoet

Frame 1:- (41) - (28) i_lost_again 30 run
Final score from frame 1: 4-3
i_lost_again gains 2 pts for win plus 1pt for 30+ = 3 pts

Frame 2:- (15) - (62) punkpoet 62 run
final score from frame 2: 2-6
punkpoet gains 2 pts from win plus 2 pts from 60+ = 4 pts

So to put that in league format:-

I know its only an example but wooo lol

I think there should be 3 frames tbh, there so quick games nowadays and 1 chance could mean end of frame, more frames the better but i think 3 covers all partys, its not too long or too short.

Also i like your idea of bonus points for runs over 30 but this will only benefit the better players out of the list, i propose u drop this down to 20 and 50 to make it more realistic for some players.

I agree everyone should only play the once, altho playing everyone twice is more accurate of how the table should look it would be too long.

Just some suggestions...

And oh yh im in

20+ breaks don't pop up on profile so there would be no proof mate. only 30+ show up.

you say the games are so quick but i find myself waiting up to ten minutes after i win for the next round in a straight tournament If people take 20 minutes a game going back and forth then 3 frames would take an hour mannnn thats too long

I like the idea of awarding a bonus point at 20 and 50 rather than 30 and 60, but as punk said, 20 wont show up on profile :/ but i could look into doing 30 and 50 rather than 30 and 60, but i will only do it if the majority agrees its a good idea. As for 3 frames rather than 2, i have to agree with gary that some people (myself) can take up to 20 mins per frame! , which is an hour! i chose 2 because when i was running the SPSL that was only 2 frames, yet i frequently had to chase people to play, as if it were too much effort to play 2 WHOLE frames

Could do, im trying to let the entrants be natural though if i can, that way people that are joining want to be here and in turn im hoping this will mean they get their games played because they want to, not because they have to, if that makes sense

I reckon it should be 30 and 60 for Bonus points, it shouldnt be targets that anybody can reach, then it'll be too easy really. 30 and 60 are enough of a challenge
