One of my favorite events on the game and it's been too long since it's been brought back!
Rules are:
- Best of 3
- Challengers choice between 8US, 9US & 8UK
- Previous King must wait at least one challenge before re-challenging.
- Players cant challenge one King more than once.
I'll start, and i welcome all challengers!

A challenge should be time limited 24hrs and if the two participants don't play during that time, the king gets a bye and stays king. But if the king gets 3 byes during his legacy, he gives up his crown to the last person that challenged him. Just a suggestion

Ooh i forgot about the 24 hours thing, but i didn't know the 3 byes thing, but hey, we'll go with it!

There wasn't a bye rule or 3 bye rule like that originally, it was whoever was online on deadline and posted about the match kept/got the crown. If neither king or challenger posted at 24 hours then the next person to post became king.

and there was no stacking of challenges. It was the first person to post after a challenge had been completed.

happens in Wrestling and Golf (Ryder Cup) i believe so i would call it Championship Advantage

It's hi_im_gary's event, but I'm sure if you played someone he wouldn't mind since there's been no game in 3 days.
I would disagree with you James, for this event to work the king needs to be active. If neither post, neither were active enough for that day to carry on. (unless the 24 hours comes up at an awkward time then a few hours extension would be reasonable). I think what you mean is when something ends in a draw the current champions retain (rather than win) the trophy like in the ashes or ryder cup. Without playing it doesn't really work, as the king could be offline the whole challenge but retain the crown if the challenger can't get on at the end to post
