I have a second account. I use this to play on.

Squeezy is my main one, which I use for clan games and forums.

The other I use for playing Killer mostly but also the odd tournament here and there.

I came across a certain person who upon me giving him a good ol' 7-balling in a micro tournament didn't take to it so well. He then proceeded to let me know that he'd be telling on me to the admins and went on about how he disliked cheats and sneaks.

Now. The point. Oh there is one I hear you cry! I use my accounts for separate purposes. I also only play on a touchpad unless I have a clan game for which I revert back to my mouse. This therefore gives me a different ability to that of what would be expected on my original account (this one).

Under these circumstances is it fair for me to use two accounts or not?

I do this because I'd rather not ruin an account I have spent many years working on any more than I already have.

:( i hate to see you go squeezy, i suggest you give up that secondary account! Deactivate it asap! Now that this thread has been made! I hope you do this as your going to get them both banned, and ip blocked would be worst case scenario.

technically two accounts are against the rules but admin has allowed it in the past as i used one for carom friendlies a year or two ago.

i would talk to an active admin and explain the situation. worse case scenario is they may force you to deactivate the other account.

long as you do not play vs yourself, post or play ranked on the other account it should be okay

it would not go that far. long as he speaks to admin then a reset should not be needed. a ban should only be used if needed and if you think about it boosting is worse than a second account and for boosting usually its a reset so i cannot see squeezy being banned just reset as worst case scenario

Its a stupid rule not being able to have a second account but you cant. Everytime ive had one ive been told to get rid of one.

You won't get banned straight off of the bat for having multiple accounts, a warning and the encouragement to de-activate your second account will probably be given though. If not further action may be taken.




The part in bold would be your best bet. Admins will make the final decision.

I remember people having 5 or 6 without anything being mentioned

I understand there's a reset option. But I'm sure people can understand why I'd rather not do that.

I also understand that you cant have one rule for one and not for others so of course will go with whatever the current ruling is.

But I shall also point out that if I do have to deactivate the second account, I simply wont be playing. With the amount of activity already lacking on the site, this cant be a good thing. I'm sure there must be others in a similar situation (though I may be wrong) and would ask for a review on what can be done to improve upon it if this is the case.

If they ask you to deactivate an account and you don't then they will simply do it for you, you threatening (probably not the right word) to not play again will not make the slightest bit of difference.

I personally don't see why some people have two or more accounts, waste of time really i feel anyway. When i came back i made an account and used it to get used to the table for the day, i then deactivated it and then made this one five minutes after that and have not used another one since.

The be all and end all is that it is technically against the site rules and if you can't follow instructions from admin (if you do decide to talk to them and they ask you to deactivate an account) then you should be rightly warned and in extreme circumstances banned.

Solely my opinion and nothing against you mate as we have never had problems in the past.

When playing regularly I stuck to one account too, I'm currently waiting to spot an admin when I have 5 and talk through it.

I would like to clarify, if people use two accounts to unfairly take points off other players, play themselves etc. I am completely against this. However I don't feel I've done this. And definitely haven't played myself. As that would be rather boring.

I also have no problems deactivating it if needs be. I'd just like to see if there's a loophole somewhere 1st

I have been banned for 2 accounts, 1 that i hardly played on my very first account n then when i learned the basics i made another, stopped playing on that 1 but about 6 months later i was banned for some reason, no warning no nothing.

So i'd watch out m8!

I don't think you would have been banned for the account thing then mate if you had not played nor signed into the second one in about six months. Could have been something else that caused a ban to be handed to you. Not that i would see why though as your a nice bloke most of the time

haha lol bluenose1872, naa i asked them and they told me it was for multiple accounts n that, i won't go into details about it here but safe to say it was clan related as to why it was brought up at that specific point.

But who cares now lol, safe to say i won't be making 2 accounts again, i think i did have a warning over language but not for the 2 accounts thing, the funny this is i didn't even know that rule but hey that was time ago.

Just like now i posted on here, flapjack has asked me to take down 1 of my pics, it's just random and when they are bored they look up on things aye flapjack

I've now deactivated the 2nd account. Like I said, I haven't wanted to cause a problem

I would however encourage people to post their thoughts on ways to enable people to have 2 accounts in the future without there being a way for the system to become abused.

I'd like a "Specialist" account. Where you can only play certain games. Killer only or something. This would be linked to your main account for all to see in it's profile. Or would be placed on your main profile as a "Specialist". This would enable people to go for win ratios, high ranks as a newbie etc. without losing all their previous game data.

Thoughts?

Yh i'd love to use a second account, i would probably de-activate this 1 after a while, as i no i can improve a lot of things stat wise, like runout percentages being the main 1, straight potting percentage i use to play safe a lot if no shot but now i just smash the pack, 8uk runouts is huge i have got over half in the last few months, same with 9us.

But i don't wanna lose my stats that i already have like 30+ runs in straight, highest run etc, but am getting closer to resetting, 1 day ill have the guts to do it lol!

But yh i get what you are saying m8, the excitement of a brand new account imagine a runout in your first ever game lol, awesome.

Well its a simple case of its in the rules not to do it. So don't do it.
