Unlikely to happen but still could!
Well that is clearly wrong and unfair. It's like Man U winning more games than anyone else this season but still losing the league. It just wouldn't happen.

Well it seems it's happened before, so there's nothing stopping it from happening again and again, until things are changed.

Yes however your analogy is still incorrect!

Yeah I realised after, like you say unlikely, but very unlikely sounds more realistic..
Maybe I should of said if they were unbeaten all season, does that sound better for you!!

Your wording of winning more games make this a possibility that it could happen.
It should be if Man Utd won all of their games and still lost the league it would be unfair, and would be the case for SS this time.
But like i said this isnt the first time on here this has happened UT won FCL previously yet MVP had won all of their games

I realize the majority disagrees with me, but if it were up to me, everything would be decided by frame difference, not matches won.
My reasoning: This game we play is flukey enough as it is, so I think formats should do everything they can to keep the luck factor down.
I think any average player can luck up and beat one of the best 8-7 from time to time. But in that same situation 15-0 could never happen, unless in favor of the better player.
Therefore counting every frame is much more accurate at pointing out who's the best.
Imagine team A, wins 10 matches 65-55
team B wins 9 matches 120-0, loses one 55-65 against team A
If you think in matches,(10-9) you might feel team A should win,
if you think in frames,(1135-650)(and I think this is more accurate of skill shown) team B is far ahead.
and it's obvious to me that when team A beat team B, they were just lucky
"the team that wins all their games should win", can't disagree that seems like common sense
but, "the team that shows the most skill should win", can't see anyone disagreeing with that either
If you look at frames as individual games, instead of the match as one big game, noone wins them all. And one lucky match can't upset the outcome of a whole competition.
Sorry horse, I know you feel strongly on this. I do agree with you, and seb, on one thing. If there wasn't already a rule in place, then whatever pixie decides to do, there's no avoiding making a rule as we go.

I like seb's playoff idea, at least that doesn't favor one team or the other

Surely the biggest test of true ability is to play against the highest quality opposition and beat that team?
It cant be a true reflection of outright ability if you lose against the best players and then can win a league simply because you can beat weaker opposition by a higher margin than the other team can?
Also you have to remember that often it is far easier to beat weaker teams by big margins at the end of a season than it is at the start. So in fact arguably you are maximising the luck factor in that the fixture schedule then becomes that much more important.
In clans you should be able to pick a team of players that you believe is good enough to beat the opposition in front of them. If that means rotating your team against weaker opposition then so much the better. Subs can then come in if your strategy starts to backfire!! You should not promote a system in which you really need to have your eight best and top scoring players playing in every game. Its not good for the inclusitivity of getting as many people involved as possible and its also not good for reducing defaults.
I know of more than one team that had games go to default because they did not want to sub out an inactive player on the grounds that it was their best available player who would score the most points potentially if they logged in.

You make a good point, especially with the defaults.
Still don't think you've discredited mine though.
In my scenario, isn't it obvious team B is the better team?
if they were to play team A again, who would you really bet on?

No because they lost to A and team A lost to no one

lol, never expected to sway you horse, just wanted to remind everyone that this issue is debatable, that we don't all agree
I could argue that Team A lost 55 games to every clan they played
