a combination of a little good luck for him, a lot of bad luck for me, and me playing way below average.

us8 2-3 - both had an 8 ball clearance, not bad standard here from either, I missed an easy chance to get 3-2.

us9 1-4 - I had 2 really easy misses on the 8 that I get 99 out of 100 times, unreal, sorry guys I was just poor after doing all the hard work....too complacent? any other day without exaggerating I definitely win 4-1

uk8 1-4 - I got ul and gave him carry for the 1st and last from the break which he cleared, he had a great clearance on 2 other frames. Think I deserved at least an extra frame here.

Through out the game I had 3 balls that stopped dead on the pocket defying gravity.... he had 2 that just dropped in!

In all, despite luck, if I played anything like normal id have got atleast another 4 or 5 frames.

He played really well and punished every bit of bad fortune and every newbie mistake in 9 ball so he fully deserved it.

Really sorry guys, only 2nd loss of season fcl and other was 8-7.

and that's definitely knocked me out of contention for golden cue

I agree with everything you have said mate, scoreline should have been a lot closer. Personally think that an 8-7 either way would be a fair result on any day of the week between us.

Sorry again for my luck and very unlucky with yours, very best of luck next season mate, hopefully we will meet again in FCL and the scoreline can reflect how close fixtures should be between us!

he hit a run out in 1st frame of 8us, i replied with one in the 2nd frame, scratched the white on break in 8uk, missed a fairly easy black to the top pocket, he scratched the white in 8uk from break in 3rd frame and fouled the black in last frame so supposed it evened itself out.

sorry guys not what i wanted, its reduced the defecit but not by much.

close games really apart from 8uk were nothing went for me really, didn't feel i deserved to lose that 4-0,had balls tight to each other every time i tried moving them was left on nothing and scratched the white trying to develop them in 5th frame, he missed a run out in 8uk, 8us i hit back to back run outs on my break, he hit a run out in 9us although i wasn't sure he meant it when he potted the 3 then 9 went into the middle left pocket.

Im not good enough for snooker squad, hence why im not in either games

Didn't mean any disrespect by that, was struggling a little with the time limit but you outplayed me (especially in the 8US) - was happy to get 6 points in the end

hehe, I don't think is that mate, is just that is hard for a captain to pick who is gonna play, but hey I can share one of my matches against them, just let Matty know who u want, ill be happy to give you one of mines :)
