As to what Fry? You need bike theory (even if you have done a car theory), a cbt (just training, virtually impossible to fail). Then you do module 1 which is all about bike control on an enclosed concrete pad (just you on a bike and the instructor standing there with a clipboard telling you what to do) and then module 2 which is like the car test on the roads.
I think if you're 24, you do those and then you have no power restrictions on your bike license. Youngsters nowadays have power restrictions for a couple years and then have to retake their tests to move up to the next power level lol.

Eurgh sounds expensive, i best start saving lol.
I was just curious as i heard a while back they were thinking of making you do a test for each class, such as 125 250 etc..

Yeah it can be quite expensive. Depends on your experience and what not though. I only had half an hour training for mod 1 and then an hours training straight before mod 2 and twenty minutes of that was spent having a coffee at a bike shop lol. But then I've been riding bikes since I was about 4 or 5 years old.
Just bare in mind, though, instructor fees are around £20 an hour (like driving instructors) but then you'll have to pay extra to hire a bike from them too...
