Announcement

Ladies and gentlemen, i have just spent some more time working on the website part to the league and i have finished as much as i can for now.

This is hosted on the FCL/FBL website though and is situated at the bottom of the page. If you click on the "Doubles Premier League" tab option, rules and format will appear. The teams are situated if you hover over that tab and the names of players are situated if you click on the team name. I can only name some teams as they have came up with a clan name so to speak, others will be added if and when they post their team name.

League schedule for fixtures are yet to be added but i can not do this until we have a full 16 teams signed up for the league.

As i want 16 teams this means that you will play 15 games through the "season", calculated that this should take 16 weeks.

Looking good Jay. How are the points going to work though? Will it be per frames won, won/lost? or points per win in each fixture set? (3 for example)

If you did it this way, I think there will be no need for a frame of straight to decide the game, if you draw, you draw (get 1 point).

Even if this were to happen, would the draw only be final (and the frame of straight needed) after 4 matches in the fixture set? If so, how would you decide who would play the deciding straight from each pair?

It will be based on the points won, so if you won your first fixture games 6 - 0 and 4 - 2 then you would gain 8 overall points + anything your team mate gets.

I like the third one hahaha!!

I have decided if we get even teams for this event and play one season of it then i will possibly split it up into two divisions like the normal clan leagues on pool.

Division one spots would be filled with the top teams who finish in the promotional places. So it would be the top eight if we get sixteen teams.
