I actually did until Andy beat me in the UK final. I got to 19th then shot down to 30 lol
So this has nothing to do with rank at all then now....never saw that one coming....knew you wouldn't make it up there Jim lol

heres an idea what i used, make it so anyone can join but do ranks based on current rankings but rank system would only be useful for singles competition

16 Players will play in 8 teams of 2 and will feature the top players of the game today
Players will be paired completely random so you don't get a dvz/beenjammin combination before it starts.
Game Format
To promote attacking play format you get a bonus point per run out or golden break.
Quarter Finals - 6 frames
Semi Finals - 8 frames
Finals - 10 frames
Tournament Tie Breakers
If their is a tie breaker, each team will nominate one player who will play to decide who goes through (only frame counts)
Quarter Finals - best of 7 frames
Semi Finals - best of 9 frames
Finals - best of 11 frames
How Doubles Work?
You and your teammate play both members of the opposing team and total the scores together whoever gets the highest score wins.
Im obviously the runner of this event.

Ive made this thread now so that people not in the top 16 of 8uk have a chance to try and get into it.
