First time in a long time I have actually played well in an 8UK tournament and got to the final, only for the server page to go white after the first couple of shots! This has never happened to me before, is this a common thing on funkypool? I am sure I have read somewhere before it has happened but can't remember!

YES happened to me a few times on snooker hun, just have to suck it up i suppose and hope Nick gets to the bottom off them deeeeep pockets and get us a new server provider

I just find it annoying, I do not get to many tournament finals so to be robbed of one through no fault of my own is annoying as hell!

Why do people act so surprised when it happens, for whatever reasons people seem to get kicked out of tournaments all the time, threads like this are created quite often so you should enter knowing there's a risk of been kicked out at anytime.

Best sticking to normal ranked games, cause these threads don't change anythin!!

I didnt get kicked though, the screen just went white, i waited ages for it to come back on but it didnt so in the end i had to log off

but being serious for a moment is it a "white screen" on the game server or something what happened on forum? if white screen for some people thats as common as a disconnection. If its forum then not sure what the cause is

If you're getting a white screen then I doubt that this is a server error. If it was then it would just log you out like it does when you leave the page inactive for 20 minutes. You can only blame it on the server if everyone gets logged out of the server at the same time

I am not blaming the server, i do not know what it is, it was just the first time it happened to me and i was more annoyed it was in a tournament final. I just wanted to know if people knew the cause of it so i can ensure it doesn't happen again.

James, it was a white screen on the server, i could still see the adverts at the top of the screen but the rest was white

probably a white screen, i used to get that 5 times a day last year was annoying, got better when i changed browsers, was IE before ads made it laggy, now im on Opera.

few things you could try...

- renew java
- new browser
- don't go on forum when playing as thats when my opera is most vunerable

Hmm good points, I may consider changing browser, not too keen on Chrome, only have it because Jay likes it lol!

lol i have IE 7 (i think won't let me install any higher) (used for tinypic as opera by itself closes if i try tinypic), Opera (for forum and gameplay) and chrome (for uploading youtube videos as support is ending on my IE soon)

Realise its not the same but i used to get black screen (10 secs black 3 secs ok ) then it would keep repeating for a good 10 mins ended up having to reboot. Eventually found out it was my AV installing automatic updates (Norton) that was causing it.
