Slatty: dgen has spent hours in the past on snooker demonstrating this phenomena to several individuals including myself. With most failing to understand how, what or why dragging the blue marker around the white ball would impact on a shot.

Thankfully thanks to an in depth discussion with his lord and creator I can confirm that drag spin is not just a figment of dgens wacky mind..

It turns out that it was implemented a few months ago with the cue shadow on the table cloth. The concept is that the dragging the spin selection raises the cue butt... Eventually the shadow will move to simulate the height of the cue butt, but for initial testing and implementation it remains unchanged.

In effect raising the butt of the cue and applying deep screw creates an ultra screw back shot as dgen is taking great pleasure in demonstrating...

Happy drag spinning lads... I'm pulling off some amazing results.

camtasia arrived several days ago, thanks slatty after messing with camtasias settings i was able to record this drag spin tutorial video (i only did basics here and not multiple side spin).

You will notice i slowed the action down when i went to use spin but sped up gameplay when the balls connected.

The zoom i tried to zoom in on the spin but failed and forgot to take it out, nevermind.

i was nearly tempted to do the drag spin on pool other day but felt Original was best as had more space.

i wasn't trying to start a snooker vs pool war when posting those, frankly i like both sites the same, if i recorded drag spin on pool i would still post those on snooker (and i would do recording on one site as its a bit daft doing one for snooker and one for pool because of peoples egos).

Would be far easier to demonstarte on Pool though because you have the ability to place the white in the same position for the exact same shot twice in succession to show the difference.

It's a good thing to show people in fairness.

Sure if nick introduced something like being able to raise the cue butt then he would have told people and it wouldnt be done by dragging the cursor randomly around the white.
Can't see anything in those vids that shows anything apart from James shocking taste in music

There is such thing as drag spin mate its done with the arrows on the keyboard rather than with the mouse try it it certainly works :-)

Just moves the cursor on the white the same as clicking on it...lay off the hard stuff guys

Until you have tried it don't knock it, it doesn't create much of a difference but it does create some.

i watched the 1 with the music i found it unbearably cheesy with let me entertain you as the track so i lasted about 30 seconds may give the other 1 a look tho later on

i experimented with it about 2 months ago on the practice table etc, try using side too as the basics don't create much difference until a fortnight ago i was the only one who could do it even Seb couldn't do it but when slatty asked nick he knew it wasn't in my mind

Yeah i saw the snooker thread from 6 days ago saying this is real.

When did slatty ask Nick and has Nick actually confirmed this is the case? Your post seems to say that.

slatty said so so im assuming so but until now 99% of site either didn't know about it or thought it was in my head
