Yet again, this site keeps going down. Can't any Admin sort this mess out?

Anyway's, I was in the final, of a 8US Tournament, 5.00. My opponent clearly left, but it didn't recongise my win. Can someone have a look into it?

Here's the proof.

Eh if u look properly you will see YOU are not responding you or them cannot claim the win regardless if it was leaving room or a local server issue. Did it become a double DSQ or did he get credited with it ?

In order for that game to announce you the winner you would have to beat the connection timer, which you didn't mate so the site even though it went down it actually did the right thing and you both got DQ.

yup theres several combinations to this...

In normal play

a) If vladimir left on his shot then you would be awarded the win as he couldn't shoot

b) If vladimir left on your shot then you can carryon with your shot until you miss (unless you have automatic win ticked).

c) If option b and you leave on your shot the game is canceled and neither of you win/lose, its like the game never happened (in tournament play a double DQ).

If you both lose connection its same as c normally as you both unable to continue, for the game to award you the win you need to stay in the game room

Regardless of who left when and what not, Chris deserves the tournament win if vladimir left the game rather than getting logged out due to the connection failing.

But this repetition of the server having a fit in the final of yet ANOTHER tournament is getting beyond a joke. The runners of this site surely cannot blame our connection when it happens as 99% of people get chucked off the server and you cannot access the main funkypool homepage, yet you can continue using all other web pages you have open. I mean you get the odd randomer who dodges it but it isn't consistently the same person e.g. most of the time I get booted, on the very rare occasion I am the only one left on the server :\

he does deserve it but because of the scenarios above plus connection issues (whether its server or not) a double DQ took place (basically same as a timeout or slow punishment).

My connection is great thanks. It's only Funky that goes down, other sites are fine. Maybe start taking some blame, and not pass it off?

As you can see Dex, it did actually say, Vlad left the game. If I wasn't connected at that point, it wouldn't have said it.

the golden question chris, was it your shot when vlad left the game?

if so thats why you got Double DQ as you got disconnected while it was your shot canceling the game.

if not then it should have awarded you the BYE and therefore tournament win.

either way its unfortunate and nick wouldn't refund tournaments because he would have to do it to everyone over the years, lets hope if its the server that its sorted soon

It couldn't have been my shot. The first rack ended with me "Running the Rack". So it was his shot. Then he left.

And Yet... just one more reason why I have not and will not renew my premium member until they get this sort of this fixed.

Starting to think the server has it in for the underdog when we make it to the finals.

I'm logging in less and less and soon I wont log in at all unless this gets fixed.... I'm so tired of hearing about issues like this.

Funky pool used to be such a great site to come enjoy a game and relax... now it more relaxing to just turn on the TV!

My membership is coming up for renewal in a couple of weeks and I am wondering whether I should bother, why pay for something that doesn't work properly?
