shouldnt spin work of the cushions as well. i dont know about the maths behind pool, the closest thing weve done involves collision on a straight line etc. but im sure that in much the same way as giving a basketball spin off the backboard changes whether it bounces up or down, cushion bounces should be effected by spin. and im also sure they are not

if a ball is spinning and it hits another surface, that affects its reaction to that surface. if you hit a ball at a surface with back spin it should bounce of at a different angle to doing it with topspin, unless that angle is 90 degrees

only side spin has a noticable effect on the connection and dispersal of the cue ball

ok next time you pot a ball, with top spin or back spin, watch where the ball goes. does it go in the same place as if you had no spin? no! so ffs, spin affects the direction of the cue ball. of course it does, thats the point of spin. what have you lot been using it for, controlling speed?

I must admit, 30% ish of the time, i use spin to manage speed, but do think abuot where the cue ball will finish.

do you agree that spin should affect the finishing point of the cue ball on a bounce off the cushion?

no. if you try potting off the cushion on the break, putting the ball in exactly the sa,me place, and hitting it at exactly the same point, the direction is the same

Actually triangl is correct...
Top and back spin should effect the angle of bounce of a cushion. The amount of effect depends on the friction between the ball and the cushion, which is pretty small. As 44cab says it will not be virtually unnoticable.
On funkypool the ball will rebound at the same angle it hits the cushion. This will change when side spin is introduced (v1.50 / in about 1 month).
