question jay,it hasnt been stated what will happen with regards to defaults.
I imagine there will be quite a few, especially towards the end of the season.
Scenario: bottom 3 teams midway through the season know they have next to no chance of winning league, chasing pack for title has to play these teams, if game isnt played, will they get a 7-0?
You should maybe set it as anyone to get 3 defualts throughout the season is replaced from reserve list and banned from next season. That way, those that come in from reserve list can guarantee there place in next season by playing the rest of their teams fixtures, even if they have nothing to play for!

That would be my concern too. Keeping all players interested even if they mid table or below.
I guess you could either treat unplayed games in a period the same way as 'postponed' football matches and let them stack up. But hard to manage over a long period.
Or just award two standard scores in any unplayed games such as 1) a win/loss is 3-0 and 2) a draw is 0-0 depending on the normal effort to play games evidence that is used in clans?

i thought frame difference wasnt important, so why does there need to be 3-0 or 0-0 draw, just award win, draw or loss. I agree with redherring, 3 defaults that is found to be ur fault (ur given a loss) and ur out.

combine these ideas.......say if someone only plays 2 of the 3 fixtures......strike 1.....but then next fixture set it will stack, so they will then have to play 3+1 postponed game, or strike 2!
This way will also cover if any1 goes on holiday through the season, they will just have a heavy schedule when they get back :D

Why would frame difference not be important in separating players equal on points?
Any news on Sunderland?

What are you talking about.. if your playing first to 7 and not the full 12 frames, you cannot count frame difference, it just would not be fair.

No you need to explain that one to me as to why.
Every game can be won or lost by a frame difference between 7 and 2 plus there can be a draw.
You win two games 7-0 you are +14 which would clearly put you ahead of another player who wins two games 7-1 (+12).
You dont need to play all 12 to have frame difference. Premier League Darts is proof that games difference works in separating players equal on points.

How can it be fair that one player gets the opportunity to lose 7 - 5 whilst the other loses 7 - 0 (because as soon as it hits 7 the game is over) .. that means the player who lost 7 - 0 misses out on 5 more frames where he could have improved his frame difference.
You cannot do frame difference when people are playing different amount of frames per game.

Because as you said he has lost at the point the opponent gets 7.
In your example the person missing out on the chance to get back to 7-5 is equally missing out on the chance to lose 12-0. In fact is probably fairer not to include 'dead' racks where a player may not be competing properly.
Makes no odds whether you play all 12 or first to 7 as long as everyone plays the same format.
Again it is how Premier League Darts works. They play 14 legs so it's first to 8 or it can be a 7-7 draw. This year the last spot to qualify for the semi-finals was decided on leg difference as both players were equal on points.
