The format of cup tiebreakers needs a rethink considering the trouble in the current one.

Maybe allow any of the 9 original players in the fixture to be in any of the games so that subs are available? So anyone who played in the tie can play and sub into any of the game types (usual sub rules apply).

Yes it does need a rethink but remember this is the first time it has ever been used, i think Dex said he used it when he brought it in but im not sure.

agreed too as long as its the players involved in fixture, reason i said i thought there was no subs in tie breakers is because of what dex posted and wasn't 100% sure.

I agree, think it is hard to think about all possibilities though when it has never really been used before and i think the one time it was used a few seasons back it worked, but again never covered all the angles.

best thing would be to eliminate draws but would be impossible with current format unfortunately.

maybe next season if theres a tiebreaker you can choose any player to play, i know it would be like damee vs seb in straight but since its one frame anyone can beat anyone.

maybe allow 2 or 3 subs for that

I don't think the format should ever change in the FBL it would be like telling the FCL to change format after how ever many seasons it has been on 15 frames, would be stupid and weird! FBL has been the same for what four seasons now?

didnt mean change it completely like snooker, i mean like if you wanted to eliminate draws knock straight down to 1 in cup with 1 point available but thats out too.

I don't mind ties in cups. It's very exciting to play in a tiebreaker and there should be lots of interest in it (although the players in the current one seem pretty disinterested lol). Just needs a format that avoids defaults. I think 9 players for 5 games would achieve that.

i wonder why is not a killer match in Cup fixture, if it is part of the league it should of be in Cup as well do you think?

Adding the killer to the league was a large step in its own, main reason it was not implemented into the cup is because no one was sure how it was going to go and if it did/does go wrong then at least it was only in the league and not in both the league and the cup.

Not a bad idea for a tiebreaker though. Main problem would be to get this game arranged, because both teams will wait until they have all 3 of their best players available before they agree to play.

i think one killer match per fixture every team should get it done easy so yeah am up for it even tho i hate killer lol but hey if it is part of the league why not give it a go

I think a rule should be brought in that if you are found to be lying about an opponent then maybe a ban should be brought in for a game or 2 to eradicate this, as blatantly lying about an opponent to "get a default" in my eyes is unacceptable, and also the liar is stooping to the depths of the gutter and is not playing in the spirit of the game? thoughts on this please guys

I think accusing someone of lying is a very serious accusation unless you have 100% proof, also remember making accusations against another member is against forum rules.

In that specific situation, the guy might have a good case though lol.

So if someone cheats and plays games to gain rank and another finds out about it and posts it is against the rules???

I have already sent PROOF to Admin about _wade logging on and using fattmikee's account..he is posting and using this just ask jooodles about it..also passed this onto league runners...but what happens ? ADMIN seemingly give this a clean bill of health and is allowed ...mikee even said Nick approves of it
