That is why there are moderators on site, members would moderate to suit themselves, where as the moderators on site just moderate to apply the rules of the forums.

Totally. Example:
- Member creates a thread for, say, getting rid of killer;
- Someone says "No, keep killer, it's really good";
- Member who creates thread doesn't agree and deletes post.

That's the type of thing that would happen. It would be even worse on the clan threads, which required no further explanation.

Ah, my mistake... I had assumed that in such a system, the person who created a thread was its owner. But the problems would still be there, i.e. a thread owner deleting posts just because he/she disagrees with them. The current system with moderators moderating the forums and deleting unwanted comments works fine in my opinion.

I agree clooneman, that 'unbiased' moderating works, as is generally the case and such an addition isn't required.

My not owning the thread referred to that anyone can post on a thread I create as long as they don't break forum rules in their post. I can't ask them not to post as long as these rules are adhered to...

Therefore no need for delete peoples post button, as no one ever posts crap on forums as you say

Except me and clooneman
