My idea is this:

16 Players = 8 Doubles Teams

2 Groups = 4 Doubles Team in each

In this tournament you will play both of the opponents of the opposite team. For each frame won you will get one point for your team. If the final standings are a draw then each doubles team will choose one player to play 1 frame of straight. The Winners of Group A and the Winners of Group B will play off for 1st place and the runner- ups from Group A and Group B will play off for 3rd place.

Games: Best of 3 8 UK, Best of 3 8 US and Best of 3 9 Ball

DT1 Player 1 vs DT2 Player 1
DT1 Player 2 vs DT2 Player 2

Doubles Team 1 vs Doubles Team 2

DT Player 2 vs DT2 Player 1
