Just set this up out of interest as to what the majority of Funkypool enthusiasts think of the current schedule.
This is in no way for or against Micro or Friendly Tournaments, and, I would ask that responses are limited to Yay or Nay to the thread title question.

In my opinion.............Yay!!

.........and yes apologies, I can spell Schedule but my 'h' key is a tad temporamental lol

I would love a random tournament draw, so each day is different. After 24 hours the tournaments get changed. This would then give each geography region the chance to play each game type over a week. Then you can log in and not know what you are playing, make it more fun

So yay and nay

When it was introduced there were a deluge of complaints due to people wanting a regular time for tournaments.

You can understand the frustration of getting the days chores out of the way and sitting down to play your regular 23:00 Straight tournament to find it had moved.

Plus of course, after a few days it would be easy to lose track of when anything was on, thus most tourneys reverted to the original twice a year UK Daytime variation.

Personally, I would suggest a mix.

With that in mind people also an only play at certain times of the day and therefore they may not want to play in the same tournament every day, if you get what i mean.

I think that a suitable solution would be to rotate the tournament but on a more lengthier time period. I would suggest every 2 weeks. So people who have to play in the same time period get the mixture of tournaments and the people who want to play at a regular know when a tournament is.

Best idea I've seen here is crazzy with the random tiurnamentns that changes every 24 hours so you never know what's next.

a mix would be great, personaly i live in australia and i see my self as a high entree player in the daily tournaments unfoprtunately for lovers of this game like myself i never get the opportunity to play in a straightpool tournament in hours of the pacific region. i have to log on a 2 am and 6 am just to play a straightpool tournament, surely there could be more of them? than just 2, or perhaps have it like it used to be where a tournament gets changed every day by 2 hours so everytime zone gets to play.

There were only tournaments on the hour then I thought?. The inclusion of micro tournaments should limit those complaints

I think a mix is also a good idea. Afterall it is all about options as you say, so it should at the very least be brought back to 25 hours.

Ideally the schedule would be rotated regularly ie once a month or at most once a quarter. That's what was always intended I believe. That way you would have the best of both worlds. A settled schedule where you know what is coming and when for a period of time, but also a regular freshening up through rotation.

If that is too much work to do consistently then the 25 hour schedule is a better option than the way it is currently.
