right downloaded java 6 (which i already have) and reinstalled it to but no difference - snow leopard 10.6.8

A while back i couldn't reply on pm's or type in chat...i tried clicking the bar but it would bring up the typing line that flashes, so couldn't type

there's not specific version of internet explorer for the Mac anymore
