Forum notifications have been introduced. You will be told in game, and by email, if someone quotes you, or tags you (using the MEMBER tag), in a forum post.
Your email settings for forum notification have been set to the same value as your mail message notifications. There is also a new setting for both notifications - emails sent only when not informed online.
I hope this feature will encourage people to come back to debate, and be especially useful in organising clan matches, and other user created events.
Clicking on the post in this message, and in the find users by player should now take you to the correct post within the page.
Also a few fixes:
- prompt before removal of friends on web page
- editing your profile "about me" now has the smileys etc
- remember me fixed (shortly after expiry it incorrectly showed a remember me existed)
- straight pool, break off shot not included for stats

Thanks.
Are any of these updates on the cards?
2 vs 2 player games
Watch games from any point
Game recording
Multiple messages for clan purposes
Colour coded names
Replay a shot in practice
Move balls in practice
You have hinted many times that some things are a lot harder or more time consuming to code. Most people would be happy just to hear these are underway.
Thanks.

This was a suggestion from chris, who correctly said we need a simple way to pass some links / instructions.
The code is already there for snooker too, we can optionally have some unique text and links on each forum. What goes in there is to be decided though.
Regarding the question from donkey_wrong, it all depends on time. I'd love to add most of those. I will try and give this question the proper reply it deserves tonight or tomorrow.

I have been having a few problems regarding performace since this update, it seems the play is lagging a bit (not in terms of power) in terms of performance and the balls rolling around the table.
Spoke to Adam_147 and he said he had the same too last night, was wondering if it was in any way related or just coincidental?

Might have been this way for a while but I have only just noticed it myself..
When did bonus tourna points become available in a tournament and what are they for?

There's been no game changes, however we all automatically download a new game client each patch. A browser restart should clear any resources used. Failing that a full system restart.
Here's the thread, it's a bonus for longer tournaments, ie marathon get around a 60% bonus points compared to a speed tournament.
http://www.funkypool.com/thread/18381/patch-12th-january-tournament-changes-not-schedule#1289722
As of the patch today (which was mainly to fix some notification problems) the tournament page details the bonus amounts.

I sometimes use this - http://www.screenr.com/ - Completely browser-based. No downloads needed

don't think that would work cause the names could simply be taken on funkypool and snookerpool at the same time but are different people then who would receive the message?

Just had a great thought.
At the moment in posts, you can do member tags (i.e eemad)
Would be great if you could do a member tag on a pool forum for a snooker account and vise versa!

Possibly 2 different buttons, like 'Snooker tag'/'Pool tag' and then the game would know which site to look for the name on?

or do what i suggested which is allow HTML code.
how about an HTML button what allows you to write some code in your posts such as
<b><ahref="http://www.funkysnooker.com/member/whocares8x8">Seb</a></b>
the writing comes up as Seb but when you click hyperlink it loads whocares8x8 snooker profile.
^^
i did write that on contact us months ago (was actually before xmas) but i never got a written reply about it

But if HTML is allowed, it would have to be heavily censored. Why not just click the button, and it makes the HTML code for you?
Eg. Click 'Snooker Member' then you would type their username, then what you want the hyperlink to say?
