Group stage was a nice touch to it i just feel the format should have been larger than it was after all it is the world cup

If you are starting this again i would say add straight.

Straight was added already tinie, it just doesn't appear until after the group stage. I think that was well thought out to be fair.

that format presented seems too long kenny..

Shorten it down a little, for example:

without arcade:
2 x 8us
2 x 9us
2 x 8uk
2 x straight

with arcade:
1 x 8us arc
1 x 9us arc
1 x 8us
1 x 9us
1 x 8uk
1 x straight

thats an idea for groups, can always lengthen when it comes to knockout.
