If players are allowed to move once when released by captains the only difference between the new rules and last seasons rules would be that they couldn't move twice...nobody moves twice.

Yes, that option is very similar to last season.
Option 4 is exactly last season. Option 1 is last season with a limit of 1 transfer. (That's why I said that if anything, the two could be joined to give even a bigger advantage for that option).

Bad Idea - If players had free roam, they could take advantage and hop from one clan to another

Bad Idea - Banning anyone from moving leaves people stuck without clans should they have an "evil captain" or other circumstance in which they chose to leave... e.g. Snooker Squads player

Happy Medium - Giving people the chance to move one time would make them think before making any rash decisions on moving clans yet still give them a chance to escape tyrant captains or a clan they feel they just dont belong to

Anyway, problem solved I take it.

Saying it's just the same as the old rules which caused nothing but constant arguments and a big divide in the league with the big name teams taking their pick of the other teams players, the teams trying to get somewhere and facing an un-winnable battle.

If that's the majority vote can't really argue but 2 and 3 are this season's rules with the only difference being a transfer window and got the exact same percentage as the 1st option.

A transfer window is actually more susceptible to players leaving, because the "captains permission" thing is removed. Meaning in the middle of the season, players can transfer if they want- no restriction.
So on a scale of how easy it is for players to move clans:

Option 3 (no transfers)
Option 1 (1 transfer per player with captain's permission only)
Option 4 (unlimited transfers with captain's permission only)
Option 2 (Anyone can transfer in the middle of the season- no permission needed)
Option 5 (free transfer for all anytime without permission)

It still didn't sound right to start with and I don't think people would see it as the old rules with no real difference but yours made it even worse lol at least it had the word players in the one that was up there!

The captains permission thing is a joke really though seb because you are only allowed 15 in a clan so you have to release players to make sure you have enough active players for matches.
Plus you don't want to keep players who have been approached by bigger name teams and want to go but this season they haven't been approached or unsettled or if they have it's for next season and they are happily finishing off the season for their current clans.

I agree that Captains permission to leave is faulty in certain circumstances. I have had it done to me with obieeeee saying he was not able to play clan games no time for it etc...I released him then a week later he joined unbeatables. (He was being targeted by adam from the day he joined wolf pack) So some kind of ruling that a player leaves under similar circumstances should apply as it was a deceitful act from the player and should not be allowed in my opinion.

Which is why a transfer window is better.

Captain's permission is adequate I think. If one of my best players wants to transfer to MVP, I probably wouldn't give permission. I would continue to play the player and tell him that he can move at the end of the season. Solved.
As long as the captain is not treating the player unfairly, there is no grounds to move to another clan. So the captain just has to stay strong and not give league runners a reason to invoke the "evil captain" exception.

Good scenario by white_noise there. But let's be honest, the reason we don't really want players moving is that it could lead to clans folding if loads do it at once.
The scenario above is usually limited to one player. You won't have 5 players telling you that they have no time and then running off to another clan.
The whole point of these rules is to make sure clans survive, not punish players for wanting to play for someone else.

Thats exactly my thinking seb..We want the clans to stay alive but sometimes its better that some do not when being run badly. I had 2 players from my clan (a season ago) leave to make their own clans and from what i hear on the grapevine both are in jeopardy of folding. I dont want to see that happen but i did advise them that it is not as easy as it looked.

Thought that was a better scenario the day before he joined you guys seb along with mattywellie and wales_lad in one week so yeah does happen with multiple people.
At the very least if you are going to go ahead with going back to the old rules(and i'm totally against it still) players shouldn't be able to play against their old clan in that season and they shouldn't be able to play a team more than twice which could happen whilst moving.
