As its Christmas me and my brother have both just got a laptop so when were both online we'll both be using the same i.p address
Ive always came on here to play pool and my brother used to years ago but hes mentioned about coming back now hes got his own laptop.
He wants to play games against me and i've told him no because in a way that could be called cheating, and i want to avoid getting banned
So if 2 accounts are using the same i.p address what will happen?
Theres been a few situations like this before were people have been instantly banned for 2 people using the same i.p address

They may allow it but once your bro beats a mod because there not that good it may risk getting banned because they cry to admin that it's the same person.

when i was in the situation i told admin whos account is which, admin will see this thread so im sure its legit.

should be ok as me and my bro got same I.P address and on the odd occasion play eachother

Just stick to friendly games unless you have absolutely no choice (which I can't see happening). As dgen said though, use contact us and let admin know that you will both be playing on the same IP. It takes all of 2 minutes to do and it massively reduces your chances of ending up in trouble. Showing willingness to help the situation looks good for you as well.
Yes you may get mods dropping you messages asking who you are playing, but if you say that you are playing your brother and admin can confirm that then you will be absolutely fine, which is why I very much recommend using contact us to let the admins know.
There is no guarantee of nothing happening though, as if you were intending to use 2 accounts to cheat, you would still claim they were different people. Just putting that there in case anyone thinks that playing on 2 accounts and saying that the other one is family will guarantee you protection from anything happening. Staff always win .
