I am playing on a high spec iMac - have been for a year.

The tables have suddenly become unplayable.

Airshots are now common - you take the cue back and through - doesn't hit the ball - this is so bad that I often time out for the shot - having tried 5 or 6 times to hit the ball with no effect.

Together with a total lack of control on the pace of the ball .

Never used to have these problems.

It doesn't matter what browser I use - the problems are common to all of them.

Before anyone says this is sour grapes - it is just a statement of the facts. I have tried over the past months to play with these problems - the games are no longer enjoyable when you are constantly fighting the controls. The fun should be playing a good opponent - not struggling with the controls.

I have plummeted down the rankings because of these problems.

Time to leave, I think.

Pity.

Well I can say for sure it's definitely not the site, it has to be to do with your set-up.

As you have already tried different browsers then it could be a java issue. Delete all versions of java on your system and go onto the java website and download the latest version.

Also, saying it's time to leave won't get you any extra brownie points.

Why plaay over the past few months with these problems and not report it?

this week i have the same problem, since the updates i can't play the game due to lag, before updates i could have Snooker/Pool Forum and Youtube open and not lag. now even with just the game open it lags.

im not trying to blame the updates as they are brilliant etc but its just i feel its coincidence that its happened since the update.

I can't really change Java Versions as i have heard of problems about it, last time i changed Java the game window wouldn't open on Google Chrome.

I haven't changed anything on my system, i did have a Worm on my machine a few weeks which fixed itself when Start Boot Up got corrupted. is this the reason?

someone suggested to me using Window Washer to clear 2.4 GB from system which i will try shortly which will hopefully.

but anything else i can try?

Iv always had the 'airshots'...not really a big deal only time it annoys me is in a speed tournament...

But like James im struggling with lag, and at times can only run the game window

i think the premium cues have something to do with lag,time and again i play people who have the premium cues and it lags the play and the shot clock sometimes stays on the previous player.
