Maybe there are too many, but it seems funny that this one is left out!

They should do a weekly tournament where everyone that won a tourney that week can enter maybe have 1 of each type so you can have a choice of which type to play then at the end of the month everyone that won a weekly tourney can enter a monthly one then a yearly one

i know snooker tournaments is being looked into and it hasn't got quite as many tournaments as pool so perhaps another look at pool schedule?
i quite liked hourly tournaments and friendly as it was an achievement to win one with nothing to lose with 15 minute tournaments it devalues the achievement process.
imo the more you add the worse its going to be.

We have said countless times about the schedule it is so stupid, a 9 ball marathon straight after a 9 ball tournament and all that jazz, adding another tournament to the mix will just be even more stupid in my opinion. Plus its 9 arcade? at least you get a decent few minutes out of 8 arcade.

I agree with dgen there winning a tourney has no feeling of achievement anymore.

What hasn't been addressed here yet is how you would wish to fit all the game types and their variations into a single hourly schedule? (I am assuming that those who say there are too many would want no more than one per hour?)
There are seven tournament types. Two of them have two variations and the other five have three variations. That is 19 tournaments straight away to fit in 24 hours.
I'm not sure people would be happy if you reverted to a simple hourly schedule where they had to wait, possibly, six or seven hours for their favourite game type to come up as a tournament? Or maybe they would?
My own preference would be to introduce a 'suitable' schedule of just one ranked tournament per hour, remove the Micro Tournaments and introduce automatically paired up ranked games as a replacement. That way members knocked out of tournaments, as well as members who dislike playing tournaments but prefer to play ranked games, could still play competitive games with ranking points at stake. However I know from past experience that is not popular with quite a few on here.

Read all off that but i just wanted to say it is the tournaments at half past the hour that really annoy me as sometimes it is a good tournament like the 9 ball marathon or the 8 ball marathon.

They would need to be incorporated into a 'suitable' schedule whatever that was agreed to be. Maybe instead of a daily schedule it could be changed to a weekly schedule whereby a Marathon tournament in a game type might happen on alternate days for example?

Chris to be honest, i'll be happy if it just gets changed or Nick even looks at changing it haha but yeah from what i understand your idea could work, quite like the sound of it.

Well I just know there are loads of game/tournament types, all with their own fans/haters, and loads of players to try and keep happy. Can't be easy!!

OK this has gotten way off my original question! To just say there are "Too Many Tournaments" is fine but for those of us who like the "micro" tournaments... it seems odd to me that "9 ball arcade" has been left out!
I'll rephrase the question...
Is there any way that Micro 9 Ball Arcade can be added to the hourly tournament schedule?

Its a micro why should it replace and hourly normal tournament? there may be a way to implement it into the schedule, if the schedule is thought about and planned better.

perfectly put. & far too many and also not even an achievement now as mentioned above as well.
IMO Tourny's have become more a hatred and a dislike to most people now adays and it seems that the only reason they are the focus point is for the wrong reason of questioning about this that and the other.
