My only game tonight: Newcastle vs Wolves Cup Quarter Final

Dan knocked me out of the shield less than a month ago and i'm determined not to let it happen. In competitive games between the 2, Dan has 3 wins, I have 2 wins, and we've drawn once. 2 top-tier trophies for Newcastle but no made the final of this compared to Wolves winning this once previously.

Newcastle edge league form + position, as well as player ratings and players to watch. Pique and Isco will be out for Newcastle, and Wolves will miss Pereira, Lewandowski, El Shaarawy, Osvaldo and Olivera.

Set up nicely though! Hoping will avoid being knocked out on pens at least, or win them this time

Really not liking the schedule my team has the now. Have the game tonight, then the SMFA Shield game tomorrow night (I will be putting in a bunch of youths their since me and Fry already through anyway). I then have Dan's Raith Rovers the day after that then a two day break and then Patrick Thistle.

5-4 Newcastle win on pens!

First half we were all over them and unlucky not to go in ahead at the break. Then disaster struck as forgetting to do my in-game instruction for the second game in a row lead to defenders coming on for strikers. My new attack force of Agger and Santon flopped (unlike Pepe last match bagging a goal when he went upfront the little beauty) compared to the hounding Tello and Huntelaar had been doing and Wolves were well and truely back in the game and edging the second half. 75 minutes brought Cavani on as a winger in a 4-3-3 wingers formation which brought the game closer (Santon the lone striker) and 82 minutes in a handball, red card and pen against Wolves, Canales set to take (again, stupid in-game instruction) and misses despite putting us in-front after 1 minute of play.

It goes to the dreaded pens. Pen after pen scored, 5th penalty taker for me... Canales, i'm dreading this but he scores. Leaving dan's 5th player needing to score but Casillas saves. Revenge is sweet
