ipotalot, I am failing to understand what you are getting at?

The warnings/bannings are for defaults where no or very little effort was made to get the game played resulting in a massive default (anything from 10 - 5 to 15 - 0).

Of course if someone isn't making an effort you sub them, therefore more than likely the game going ahead and avoiding a default.

no excuses not to get games played,,, totally agree with lee on tht one

the team is punished twice, A) losing out on completion bonus (scrapped next season) and B) the team looses out on default points because their player had a negative effort attitude

But saying that you are saying there is no possible way for a default to go 15 - 0 for example... but it happens, the idea of a ban/warning is an incentive to not let this happen.

ive said many times captains are totally responsible

its tactics leaving games till the last saturday stroke sunday, dont make any effort to sub or swap till then so the other team puts in less effective players

captains are responsible thats what needs looking at
the league should look at the teams not subbing till late the deduct points and blame the captain

the only excuse to this is if a clan dosnt have active players because their struggling..... again captains fault

but if you are a responsible captain and you attempt to get your games played then you really have nothing to worry about

I think tampering with the points (bonuses and deductions) should be kept to a minumum. Being a player down isn't exactly good for a captain/clan either is it?

jem i agree but its not the players faults its the captains

how can captains possibly put a player into a fixture when he has been offline for say 7 days

an example.... captains need to be told

example we are playing a game were captain said to me im making no subs at all in this current set of fixtures till wednesday nxt week

3 weeks of a fixture 3 games and not one player has contacted mine........... they were all offline for upto 6 days all have been on for an hour or so ..... why not sub

and on players waiting he states my team is full

Because if you rush into early subs to get games done, you may end up with the only players able to get games done having already played, whereas having a little bit of patience is needed when you have players who are going to be offline a lot (though it is no excuse to not sub in)

but now you are veering off topic. as a potential captain for next season i am not going to be held responsible for a players lack of enthusiasm to play, but it is my responsibility to supply subs which i would do without question as and when i see fit. I do not think subs should be rushed through for the sake of players being online. i think subbing should wait until the second week unless a player chosen to play specifically asks to be subbed out.

why should my clan and all its players be penalised for the poor judgement of 1 player? it shouldnt, the individual in the wrong should be punished.

If you are all saying it is the captain's fault then why don't they get the one fixture set playing suspension following a default? If there is a second default move on to the vice captains too.

Not my preferred way of dealing with it but an option.

and craig please remember this fixture falls over Christmas, i am sure people have better things to do than funkypool at this time, not everyone is as sad as us

i do not think its the captains fault, its the players, they join the clan knowing they have to play games, if they don't want to they shouldnt be in a clan.

i, as a captain, am NOT being punished nor am i taking responsibility for the attitudes of individual players in my clan. but my lot know any messing about and they are out.

Would be the original player that would get the ban, not the player who was subbed in as it is the original player who is the cause for the large default. (It would be his inactivity and lack of messages to chase and get game played)

Easy to implement and easy to enforce. Should be just like an automatic penalty.

Just needs Captains and team members to accept the decisions and take the penalties without arguing over them.

Just going to post this here as not many people look at the Clan News unless i have released the fixtures .

There is going to be a new league website for next season as some people may already know . The site is still getting maintenance done to it with the staff (default panel). You will notice that there is no tables yet because this is for new season, so please keep using the Yola site for now . All new rules that are implemented to the new site as and when they are discussed about.

Some captains are smart enough to employ tactics into subbing, reason being the dumber captains get caught out by it. If it gets you more points and it's within the rules why not?
