Frame 5

Clean sweep by Liam, the Potter makes it 5-0 with a smashing double on Black. He's looking very strong as we go into 9 ball...I'll leave you in the capable hands of my newbie commentator Darren, for the 1st frame of 9

2nd set and its 9 ball

1st frame hardy breaks off and pots 2 balls leaving himself ouuta position,Liam comes in and with some nice positional shots easily clears a 6 ball table .Long may it continue .6-0 Liam

Frame 7

Hardy pulls one back, Liam ran it beautifully but missed an easy 9 on the bottom left, hardy tidied up nicely and pulls it back 6-1. Could Liam's injury be holding him back as we progress further into the match? I hope not

Frame 8

After a long ding dong battle it came to and end with Liam finally getting a chance on the 9 after some unfortunate efforts early in the frame as he tried some audacious screw back to cannon the 9 but overall he deserved it . Keep at it mate 7-1

Frame 9

8-1 to Liam, nicely finished off by the player who's tipped as the next Ryan Shawcross. Some good defensive play to force Hardy in opening it up...The win's in the bag, unfortunately Hardy is just playing for pride now.

Frame 10

Started out slow for both players only for Liam to get a chance on the 4 ball But he calls a plant white onto 9 ,He gets it Brilliant shot 9 -1 .

Frame 11

Welcome to the final stage known as 8 ball UK. Which Johnny loves to talk about, as he's a superstar at it Good little bit of safety play by Liam again, forces Hardy into attack mode, unfortunately he's ran into a corner, Liam comes to the table and wipes it...10-1, its looking good if you're in red and white

Frame 12

Well this shows why hardy is a good lad he battled all the way in this frame and even after Liam messed up to take the Frame hardy pulled it out the bag ,tad fortunate but well played kid . 10 -2

Tad fortunate, Darren? You're too kind to the lad, not being funny but i thought Stevie Wonder was pulling them fluke shots off

Frame 13

Very tidy 6 ball by Liam kicks him back 11-2, nicely opened up and well tucked away. Things are looking good for the young lad...taught him everything he knows

Frame 14

This way one way traffic in Liam favour , he played quite class some excellant touches of the white to almost clear just to foul at the wrong time.Hardy however stepped in but after some clumsy and lucky shots he couldnt clear and liam took the frame as he should have done earlier 12-2

now il hand the last frame over to Johnny 3 himself to take this match home

Tidied up JUST by Liam, 13-2 it finishes here at the Britannia Stadium. Unlucky shot on black by Hardy sets it up for Liam to clear it away.

Special thanks to my main man Darren "Teamplayer" Franster, for all his points of view in this great triumph for Stoke City. Was a pleasure to watch my prodigy win his 1st game this season, and we hope there's more to come.
