If those maps are correct then that's excellent. They're all good maps. They're how maps should be, not like the vanilla MW3 maps. There's just too much stuff in the way, too many corners etc.

I like to run around carelessly in Call of Duty, and I could in COD4 and MW2, but MW3 doesn't cater to me so I got bored.

I don't like games that make me play in a way I don't enjoy.

Not gonna buy the maps though but I'm glad they picked a good couple.

Are they not creating any new maps though?

If so that's just silly charging 1200 ms points for all old maps.

not sure but apparently got stuff like new weapons, game modes etc as well.

from what i heard they are bringing out 20 DLC packs over a 9 month period.

20 DLC packs is a bit of an exaggeration isn't it? That's about 2 packs a month. Surely no company can create and test that many maps in such a short period. Unless, of course, the majority of the maps are just the same ones from MW1 and MW2 in which case it is a complete rip-off.

I plan on completing the campaign and Spec Ops then trading the game in. Can't stand the multiplayer.

campaign took me 5 hours, but the spec ops are good if it wasn't for multiplayer it would'nt be worth 40 squid, no way.

love the look of these but i think that they will charge a stupid price for it, despite the fact that they are just using maps that have already been created.

Just like the other MW2 or Black ops was it? That brought back overgrown etc. I'm gutted they aren't bringing Crash back, it was everyones favourite yet they still don't bring it back!!!
Although Shipment and Crossfire is great, all my friends and everyone knew me for CoD4 when I played MLG lol I was a beast. Not so good now..(sorta!)

@ frog - just buy Call of Duty Elite, 4000 MSP well worth it if your into map packs

Map packs are overpriced, especially since they don't have to do anything to the old maps to bring them into this game, they can literally copy and paste them in.

They're probably already on the disk anyway.

But whatchagonnado? The prices are high because people pay it, so I guess it's our own fault.

I don't buy the Elite gimmick either, other companies give you essentially the same service for free i.e. Bungie.

Map packs are Extremely overpriced you mean. Only ever bought one and that was call of duty 4 when it used to be 800MSP for 4 maps. Now it's 2100 for 4 maps typically. It's terrible, as you said, everyone will still buy it though - just like the call of duty games (because of the title).

I'm the same, the only map pack I ever bought was the COD4 one.

I won a code from twitter for the two MW2 map packs luckily enough, but I never played with them installed because you avoided most of the shenanigans in that game if you played just the original maps.

k/d ratio 1.3 i think thats round about average.

not bad, my KD was 2.50 but since i started playing different game modes and using different weapons its sunk to 2.32 , still not bad tbf

To boost my ego and sadness, 5800th in world at SnD now. I'm climbing those leaderboards lol, and was like 500th this month and 398th this week so far.

So far all I play with in search and destroy are the more hardcore type of players, ones who are already 4th/5th/6th/7th. Played with a few 10th prestigers which were obvious boosters.

i was 8000 in Team deathmatch, which isnt bad considering it is probably the most played mode, problem that i had was that it got incredibly boring i.e i was getting almost 30 kills every game and there was no real challenge, now im playing team defender and kill comfirmed, havent touched on search in a while due to poor players that sit in corners...kill confirmed i hardly played at the start, now im already in the top 75,000 already

Mines is 1.80, which in my opinion is great for only playing search and destroy. When I look a lobby leaderboard I usually have the highest if not one of KD's.
