only thing i dont like is the low ranking, after newbie i didn't see need to play for 0.1 rank so playing friendly for now until tournies come out

I don't think the rank scale factor being at 1 is really a good idea... surely it should be higher than normal 9 ball?

yeah 0.1 after newbie isnt much point really.

Wins 129 (58.6%)
Losses 91 (41.4%)
Run Outs 36
Still around 1 in every 3 breaks.
Not too bad.

Ranking scale factor should not alter your eventual ranking. Setting it lower just increases the time it takes to reach it.
(Note: I had previously erroneously said that increasing this increased the range of rankings due to increased energy in the system but I was corrected by janmb as the core element of the system is the following "The comparative rule is that if a person is 100 points higher ranked than their opponent we expect them to win 75% (three quarters) of their games.")
It's going to be the case while you're one of the small percentage who isn't a newbie, playing mostly newbies (remember the game is only a few hours old).

In Arcade 8 though it seems as if the rankings have hit a bit of a snag now. It looks as if no one can make it over 800 at the moment, do you expect this to match the spread and deviation of the other games any time soon? Or do you think arcade rankings will be generally lower anyway?
