first game i am clearing the table and on my screen i have finished and potted everything, 2 me it appears like i have won the game, then i start losing connection and get logged out,

i log back in and i have 2 losses?

i really want to know why the game is messing me around, coz at that level loses like that are total time wastes,

i had the game already won, i potted the black,

so unlessi stopped respondin and on his screen it showed a random shot and he went on to win i dont know why,

but i only saw 1 game, and i won it on my screen,

So in the end i enter a tournament win the game, and get 2 losses and -12.9 ranking points,

whats going on with the game, because my opponent never got logged out but alot of my friends online at the time got logged out at the same time as me so i wasnt the only one.

That's the server m8 if other people all got logged out with you! It happend last night to me and several others multiple times within 20 mins.

this happened last night to me aswell funny thing is though my opponent went through to the next round,
and he never won any games coz i won the first one,

lol same i got kicked out but opponent didnt

If your connection is failing, then during those 90 seconds it will appear to you as if your game is continuing as normal, particularly if you are in play.

If you ultimately disconnect, then anything that happened from the point of your connection failing in effect never happened.

It is right to continue to point out where this is happening for nick to be able to see, and it is frustrating when it does happen. The consoling thing for me is that it happens to nearly everyone at some point - even at that level!

However it is better to keep posting on existing threads rather than make new ones as it makes it easier to note if all reports of this are in one place.

no jjust annoying that me cool_dude and alot of others in that tournament got disconnected, even my opponent got disconnected, and he still got 2 wins and my ranking points, ? personally i thinkits very unfai, especiallly for wsome 1 at my level, who riskes 8 points to win 1 point, and the major fact is that we both got disconnected but he got 2 wins and i got to losses,

yeah if its a server issue the game is classed as cancelled so maybe your connection?

no degen i wasn't the only player who lost connection at that time,

ah, i heard of this glitch that if server goes down in ranked tournaments and even though they shouldnt be a winner it picks one out and some players lose rank.

not sure if its been fixed yet tho.

There is no way that points would be reinstated as a server problem. Even though you appeared to have won, it may not have registered prior to the server incident. Beacuse you got logged out, the other player may have been awarded a default win.

Ya no way u can get points back otherwise everyone else would get points bck...

It's just a matter of how close to the server you are xD If you are nearer to it than your opponent is, your game client refreshes faster and you get a faster disconnect. That's how I look at it.
And there's always some1 lucky enough to get a default win awarded. However, there are some who don't even get disconnected.
At the same time when you were playing that 8 ball tournie, I played in a killer game and two of us got disconnected, one didn't and he got all the points. How did he manage to stay online?

Agreed, and i won the first game, but i think it must have appeared as a random shot on his, and he went on to win the game, and as i wasnt completely disconnected from the server coz i was "not rersponding " meant that he got to break the next game and i then disconnected fully, fgiving me 2 losses,


BUT in reality i clreared the first game and surely i would have won the 2nd lol, but ah well, this games going down the draines i tell ya,.

Probably too much load on the server, it's not that cheap...

same thing happened to me last night but i got the points instead of my oppenent but i got DQ from tourny when i was 1-0 up and both of us got logged out

Just another reminder that if it was a server issue, EVERYONE would have been logged out and the games cancelled as mentioned above.

In the OP's case, clearly he was logged out before his opponent lost connection, though the opponent then also went on to be logged out.

Also remember connection issues can affect hunders of people depending on where they occur. This is the problem Nick has, and as pointed out earlier, it is good to let us know anytime it happens as it gives him something to work on.
