I just had a rare game of 8 Ball Billiards against name removed.
and to my amazement when he got to the black and couldnt pot it he started to pot my balls ! ! !

I decided to search the forum on cheats,, thats where I came accross the thread started by Ciderman. Unfortunatly it has been capped,,, for this i say
"shame on you moderators"
Up to today I recomended this site to lots of people as the best pool site online, not any more ! ! !
Its one thing somebody cheating, but then the mod's condoning it ! ! ! well thats another.
There's no need to name and shame the cheats on this thread as they all tried to defend themself's on Cidermans thread.
Now I would be greatful if somebody could tell me how to block these players as id rather not play against them.
I dont mind loosin, but cant stand cheaters ! ! !

What you came across was someone playing to win within the rules of the game - something completely different to cheating.

You can always choose to not play against anyone you want on this site for whatever reason. That includes against people whose style of play you don't appreciate for whatever reason.

Clearly what you cannot do is accuse people of things, or in other words 'name and shame'.

If you ever do come across an instance of actual cheating feel free to use the 'contact us' and it will be looked at.

I experienced something similar last night during the 8 Ball UK Marathon Tournament, where my opponent kept deliberately scratching the cue ball so that I would pot my balls and move balls around the table, thus opening up the table for him to clear up. This didn't happen just once, but 3 times in each frame - 9 times over the whole match.

I've seen people do it before once or twice when they've been backed into a corner, but never to the extent that my opponent done it last night.

As Chris said, it's not cheating as there is nothing in the rules to say you can't do it. It's more a case of bad sportsmanship or not having faith in your skill. Either way it isn't nice to lose a match in that manner.
