What type of file is it? I.e. is it an .MPEG or .MOV? Really need to know what file type it is so I can direct you to the right software

i use windows media player with k-lite codec pack
played everything i ever tried ta play on it

u got a number of options but a codec is the easy way no more programs u dont really need all u need win meda player
down load and install either of these the pack i like are ;
