I think it's only captains that can release I'm sure we ha this arguement with shooters and only blueberry could release.

1.9 Replacing players that leave the clan
At any time, a clan captain may remove a player, (or a vice captain with permission from from the captain) from their clan and/or replace a player that has left the clan with any free agent, subject to quarantine according to Rule 1.7. Any player that leaves or is removed from a clan after the season has started cannot take any further part in that season for any clan unless they meet the criteria in Rule 1.4. the league runners decision will be final on this.

I agree Jay you shouldnt need permission if your VC but there rules someone drew up

Jimmy was removed for being inactive as he deactivated, he then returned. Mr league runner check the rules on transfers.
Captains may remove inactive players at any time from their clan teamlist, the removal must be confirmed by posting on FBL team changes thread, however such players are not deemed free agents. Any inactive player that may become active again may be brought back into the same clan, subject to available space, and the the change posted on the team changes list or they may seek a transfer to a different clan subject to captains permission being granted. In either case the player is subject to the quarantine rule (rule 1.8). If in any doubt please contact a league runner.

So in that case you can have him back for 8us ane against angry as he is still technically under you? And we won't have to wait ;-)
