Sly back on the scene, Jason Statham making great action movies, Vin diesel and Dwayne Johnson soon in fast and furious 5. I genuinely hope this is the start of a new decent action movie era as years of watching college kids getting their limbs ripped off by whoever happens to be crazy that week has really got boring.

Action films never try to be oscar winners they are just there to entertain and i like that.

Anybody else have similar thoughts or am i just having false hope?
