I was thinking last night, on a different tables, you get different speeds of cloth, for example, on a Wednesday night, I run a pool team, at home we play on a med-fast cloth, but only last week we played away on a dead slow cloth.


On US tables you only normally get 1 style of cloth, if you can call it cloth, I would try to spell it, but would get it horribly wrong lol.


Anyway, my idea for 8UK mainly, is to have different speeds of a table, 3 choices, slow, med, fast. Could have 3 seperate tornys, and in random, it would be random.

would be a very meticulous detail mate, something that i think would appeal to the higher rank of 8uk players which could use it to their advantage. I think it wouldn't benefit the majority, more the minority of great 8uk players.

I think if we went with something like that, just make the UK table slightly faster or slower. If it was my choice I would say make the UK table a little bit slower.

I was just thinking about this myself the other day. You wouldn't want to make a very large speed difference. But I think having a slight varyation of speed between the US and the UK table could have a positive impact on the game. We could see some different tactics by different people.

Im not so sure about having three speeds on both tables...but it definitely would make things very interesting
