Does anyone know of any website that will attempt to give you your location if you're using a dongle to connect to the internet?

if you go to speedtest.net, i think when you do a test, it shows which country your internet is coming from.
Or go to here: http://whatismyipaddress.com/
and look on the left, it gives your ISP and location and things.
Hope this helped

Hmmm, kinda - was thinking more of if/when an internet user is on the move, such as on a bus or a train, and not merely using the IP to guess the location.

Ah, if you mean using a mobile dongle connecting via 3G/GPRS, then you can use one of the many mobile tracking services like : http://www.followus.co.uk
It's no different to if you were using a mobile with the same sim in it to browse the net..

Nope, sorry, can't help there. Though I think there are "pay as you go" options on some, but haven't looked at the costs involved. Good luck!

I don't think there is any way of doing this for free clooney, but I'm sure spinner is right with the pay as you go method with some sites.

I think the only free ways of tracking your location are done via wifi.
