It's no coincidence some of the better players have bigger screens and some even use zoom.

I know destiny has a rather big one (Oooer)

However the Key to playing well is not what size screen you have I would say it is all down to concentration and fun, because if it's not fun you wont be bothered or will be too bothered.

Plus you are a quality player anyway especially in safety games so just try and turn the game in your favour by using tactics that suit your game.

I just have a ordinary laptop not sure what size i had it for years lol. But even then when i was on form id like to think i could compete with the top players on here, through position, concentration and a lil lady luck

A bigger screen may help but overall if you know what your doing you should be ok. Concentration is the big one though in my opinion because if i still had it i think id probably be half decent again.

i play on a 32" screen and find it hard to down-size if im round a mates. *shakes the geek glasses*

It's how your used to playing that makes you play the way you do so even if you was to have a bigger screen you'd play the same, maybe even miss the longer pots as you cant focus as yur memory goes back to how it used to be.

I play 22" i find it to be a good size, but then, alike to unknown, i have trouble downsizing if on a 15" laptop when away from home. If your a good player on a 14" screen, you'll be just as good/better when on a 22" so long as you apply same formula you use on laptop.

Screen resolution plays a big part here too - the higher the resolution the more detail the game is shown at and the more precise your mouse position can be.

Same as me. Personally I have no trouble playing on a larger screen (Had a game once one of them smart boards in school, that was fun!)

My advice is stick to what you're comfortable with.

I have always played this on a 15" laptop and will stick to that.

Probably not. Full HD TV's only go to 1920 x 1080 pixels. My 24" work monitor supports up to 2560 by 1440.

It's all about accuracy, you wont get any more accurate a display at 1920 x 1080 on a 40" screen than you will on a 14" one, it will just be bigger!

Personally the only game I find easier on the big display is original snooker, simply due to the large size of the table.

I have played on a 52" Hd TV and if anything found it more difficult on here, never tried it on snooker I imagine it would make original a bit easier but I am satisfied as I am with my laptop think it is about 17"

it does make orig slightly easier - also, changing the resolution alters the table shape on my computer - should that happen???

Yes, as the changing resolutions can be changing the aspect ratio.

Most graphics cards now support a wide range of monitor shapes and sizes so you can find lots of variations. For example widescreen TV's offering full HD are 1920x1080 pixels, whilst most dedicated widescreen monitors are 1920x1200.

There is a limit to how much bigger is better, and its purely personal. Someone used to a 14 inch screen could find a 17 great and a worthwhile improvement. Someone on a 17" screen will barely notice movng to a 19" one etc..

Been having some bad luck and poor form as of late, read this and started using zoom and just beat someone 10-0 to boost my ranks! Hopefully I will keep improving using zoom didnt think about using it before!
